Why I Hate the Patriots

In no particular order.

- 2003 the Colts are an up and coming team, the triplets are entering their prime, and the Patriots are coming to town; this was the perfect recipe for the Colts to establish themselves as an elite team.  The Colts are driving and Edge is running over Patriots all the way to the 1- yard line, when Willie McGinest fakes an injury only to miraculously come back and tackle Edge in the backfield, giving the Pats the 38-34 win.

- Apparently the member states of the region of New England suck at life so much that they have to pool their collective identities to sustain a professional football team.

- Bill Belichick cheated by videotaping other team’s illegally, the worst part of this?  Belichick’s protege Mangini was the one who tipped the NFL authorities off to the illegal activities.  How big of an *** do you have to be for your buddy to turn you in the moment he gets out from underneath you.

- One of the few Patriots fans with some redeeming qualities is Bill Simmons and he has documented this at length but the 2007 season is what Simmons calls the Belichick “F-You” season.  When you intentionally run up the score and humiliate other teams it will eventually catch up with you.  As it did in Glendale and in Kansas City.  You reap what you sow.

- Tom Brady goes from backup to Super Bowl winner.  Then marries an actress gets her pregnant, then leaves her to marry a supermodel.  Yep that’s about right.

I have never witnessed anyone in the Patriots organization do something with class and sportsmanship.

My nervous prediction for Sunday Night’s game: Colts 28 – Patriots 24.  I think that both defenses are going to play a lot better than what people are saying.  I also think this game is not nearly as important as it is being made to be, look for a rematch in January.
